Reworked how power is imported from neighbours: each neighbouring city has a different cap on how much it can sell - Micropolis (North): 44M kWh/day nuclear, Richton (South): 8M kWh/day coal, San Gigante (East): 2.4M kWh/day solar, Rivalton (West): 2M kWh/day wind
Exported power now goes to twelve cities beyond your neighbours, reached through your neighbours’ grids. Each one of the 12 cities buys a specific power type, and the price depends on the type. Right now it can’t be visualized but overall it means that there’s more demand for power and your city can actually sell more than it used to
Fine-tuned the algorithms that you can select for power management. The “Optimize for energy costs” will use the cheapest and will produce as much as possible without regards for carbon footprint. The “Optimize for low carbon footprint” algo will use the cleanest possible, and coal plants only burn for the city’s own demand, never to sell power to others
Power plants now better show how much they are producing
Carbon footprint now also includes the emissions of energy that you export to other cities, not just what is used locally
