Help us release Microlandia in your language

Microlandia is a tiny city full of life. A menu label can change the mood. A short newspaper line can make a player smile. When words feel natural, the whole game feels local. We are translating Microlandia into many languages so more players can enjoy the full game in their own language.

Microlandia is already translated into many languages thanks to community effort. If you speak any other language than English, you can help us make it real on our translation server, translate.microlandia.city.

You are not just translating text. You are shaping how players feel in your language. Even a short session helps.

Want a language that is not listed?

We are very eager to add new languages. Sign in at translate.microlandia.city, choose Request a language, or vote for a language someone already asked for.

Discord and email are also great if you prefer those.

How we work and where AI fits

Microlandia is not an “AI content game.” Final translation quality is always a human decision. Native speakers define tone, meaning, and style.

Why AI appears in our translations

We ship updates often. New strings can appear fast. To avoid missing text in each update, we pre-translate new strings with AI as a first draft.

On our server these drafts are green. Green means draft ready for human review. Green does not mean final.

What contributors should do with green strings

Proofread means blue

If you translated Microlandia on Crowdin before: the colours are the other way around now. Green is the AI draft, blue is proofread.

How to translate Microlandia

Step 1. Join the team

  1. Open translate.microlandia.city and create an account (or sign in).
  2. Choose Become a volunteer.
  3. Select your languages and send a short message.

We approve requests quickly. You can read every string and its translations while you wait.

Step 2. Request a language if it is missing

  1. Sign in at translate.microlandia.city.
  2. Choose Request a language, or vote for one that is already requested.

If needed, you can also contact us on Discord or by email.

Step 3. Understand the editor

Open your language and choose a file, or Translate all. The editor shows the strings to do first: untranslated, then outdated, then the rest.

Select a string to see its English, your translation field, its history, comments and the translations in other languages.

Step 4. Suggest, review and approve

  1. Write or correct the translation and press Suggest (Ctrl+Enter also moves to the next string).
  2. On a green string that is already right, choose Looks good.
  3. A manager reviews your suggestions and turns them blue.

Keep placeholders such as {{count}} and {companyName} exactly as they are: the game fills them in. The server warns you when one is missing.

Step 5. Improve existing blue strings

Blue does not mean locked forever. If you can make a string clearer or more natural, suggest the better translation and add a short comment with the reason if useful.

Step 6. Choose what to work on
